From the Director
Greetings CU Band Members,
My name is Thurman Hollins, Instructor of Music and Director of Bands here at CU. We have been working diligently to prepare instructional materials and develop new concepts so that we will equip the CU Band with the necessary tools to be successful this season. We have many more performances planned for this year to include basketball games, honor band weekend, concerts, and campus and community appearances.
In this packet you will find important band information, sectional requirements, and the tentative performance schedule. It is important that you read the entire packet, complete the online pre-registration form, by July 12, 2024. Please pay your band attire fees once you arrive on campus for the band meeting. Enjoy the rest of your summer, but get ready for one of the most engaging band experiences of your life.
Sincerely,
Thurman D. Hollins, M.M.E.
